This is post 2/4 of my June 24 news round-up.

IRAQ:

Also in the Commons today, all parties took the opportunity to give condolences to the families of Jason Swindlehurst and Jason Creswell, the two Iraq hostages of five captured at the Ministry of Finance in Baghdad in 2007 that were recently pronounced dead. This despite the foreign secretary’s assurance that every “conceivable option” had been explored to secure their release. Watch ITN’s report at the end of this post.
